Did
you know that there are great opportunities to share your talents and
maybe even develop some new ones by helping out in a service position on
our Federation Council? That’s
right - each one of the twelve or more key service positions is
recruited for in the winter and spring for the coming year.
Every
leader who now sits on the Council either volunteered or was asked by
someone to help. It usually
is someone who has been in the program for a year or two, but there is
no minimum level of experience. All
it takes is someone to be nominated or to come forward himself and ask.
Experienced members will remain on the Council and will be happy
to assist you in learning your new position.
Each
position has it’s own responsibilities to help ensure that the
year’s experience is the best it can possibly be for each Y-Indian
Parent and Child. Everybody pitches in and helps and the jobs are pretty easy.
New Council members are important so fresh ideas and improvement
can be made to the program.
We
are now forming our new Federation Council and beginning plans for next
year. Each year we open up the positions for new people.
Many times someone continues doing the same job.
If someone is not continuing, then that position is open.

during the course of the year.
If
you would like to find out more about how you might be able to help on
the Council in any one of these roles in the future, please ask the
